Getting Ready For Fall: Breakfast, Outfit + Nail Ideas!

Today I’m gonna share with you my tips on getting ready for this lovely fall season, although I’m not feeling this weather that’s been happening lately. The temperature has been about 103 degrees & I’ve just been pouring with sweat. The temperature last week started off great, then all of a sudden, this week the weather has been insane. I have about 20 fans in my room that I put on at night so that I can try & go to sleep. It’s so hard to sleep when it’s this hot. I’m constantly thinking about going to an ice cream shop in the middle of the night. Hopefully it starts to cool off soon!

I don’t know about you, but I love to start my fall day off with a good & delicious breakfast. I get pretty dang cranky when I don’t start off my day with something to eat. You know the “You’re not you when you’re hungry” commercials. I swear I should be on one of those advertisements..I feel like those commercials explain the majority of my life in about 30 seconds.

Anyways, back on topic…I like to snack on some granola with milk. Adding a little fruit like strawberries & blueberries creates some more juicy flavor to my crunch. This breakfast is super simple..the hardest task about this dish is cutting up the strawberries. Like I said, not too difficult to make! So, if you’re short on time, this breakfast idea is perfect & actually pretty filling!

What are your favorite fall drinks? Pumpkin Spice Latte? Homemade cider? Hot chocolate? Ahh..All of those sound so good!

I’m pretty sure, everyone has their own perspective of what nail color goes best with fall. Some people may say dark reds, purples, blues, greens, browns, greys, or maybe even a little sparkle. For me, when I think of fall I think of all of these colors. I love to experiment with my nails..adding a different color to each nail! Personally, to me it adds a little more style & maybe even some quirkiness.

My favorite fall outfit..I love to wear the cool high top vans with the sweet designs! The floral print looks pretty dope too with the ripped skinny jeans!

Take out those gorgeous dark red and bright pink lip colors. It’s the perfect time to start wearing it! These two colors in my opinion go with anything. They really make an outfit pop!

I made a list of a a couple of things I really want to try this fall! I call it my “fall bucket list.” I added a bunch of fun activities & events I want to do! Going to try & complete this list before the end of fall!

You’re officially ready for fall! What are you most looking forward to?

3 Comfy & Classic Fall Outfit Ideas!

It is finally Friday and I’m so ready to just kick my feet up this weekend and eat some Chinese food. I’ve been loving this fall weather! It’s been nice and cold at night! (I always sleep like a baby when it’s cold. I sleep with about 3 fans.) What are some things that come to mind when you think of fall? Maybe having a pumpkin spice latte or the fact that Halloween is coming. This week is the ninth week of the beauties on fire collaboration. This weeks theme is “Back To School.” In honor of fall, I’m going to show you 3 comfy & classic outfit ideas that you can wear out: to school, a party, or just everyday wear.

” Self-confidence is the best outfit, rock it and own it.”

#1 Classic

I love this shirt I bought from Forever 21. They always have the best deals. I’m always buying t-shirts from there.

I wore this mini backpack to add a bit of contrast in colors in the outfit. This bag is such a beautiful baby blue color!

I also love to pair my t-shirts with a statement jewelry piece. It always makes the outfit pop and show more of a classic & stylish look. I couldn’t possibly forget about the nails! I painted them a neon yellow for a touch of embellishment.

Cutout V-Neck Shirt

#2 Going Out For The Day

For some reason, I love to wear long t-shirts with some type of unique look to them. Like a cutout or a design. This shirt has a small peak out from the back which I think looks so cool & makes this shirt so distinct. I paired this top with a cute “ombre” type scarf.

#3 Casual Day

I’ve been loving the ripped jean trend. It always makes the outfit look more fun & casual. Topped it off with a gray v-neck shirt & made it a casual look.

Of course you gotta add a jewelry piece! I’ve been loving this Lauren Hope Necklace. Such a beautiful purple color.

DIY Pokemon Storage for Makeup, Jewelry, & Supplies!

Today marks the sixth week of the Beauties On Fire Collaboration. This weeks theme is “Pokemon.”

How awesome would it be to have your own Pokemon storage box? This box is great for storing your jewelry, perfume, supplies, or even your makeup. So, shall we get started with this DIY? Let’s begin!

-Shoe Box
-Yellow Paint
-Paint brushes
-Black Construction Paper
-White Construction Paper
-Red Construction Paper

Take an old shoe box, and start painting the lid yellow. I had to paint this about 3-4 coats to fully cover the whole lid.

Take some black construction paper, & cut out 2 small circles. Glue these circles to the box, this will be used as the eyes of Pikachu. I also took some white construction paper and cut out 2 smaller circles. Glue that onto the eyes as well. Add 2 red circles for the cheeks.

For the nose, cut out a triangle shape on black construction paper. Also for the mouth, cut out a squiggly line and glue that onto the box.

And you’re done! Hope you had fun creating this Pokemon storage box! You can fill up the box with pencils, notepads, makeup, nail polish, etc. Stay tuned for next weeks post!_DSC0252

Being Bold With Life, Fashion, & Beauty (Free Goal Setting Template + Tips & Tricks)

Welcome to the fifth week of the Beauties On Fire Collaboration. This weeks theme is “Bold.”

What does it mean to live a bold lifestyle? To me it means taking risks, living on the edge, speaking up, creating goals, staying focused, and most importantly never giving up.

If we don’t face our deepest challenges we won’t grow or learn from them. We are all capable of amazing things if we just set our mind and focused on achieving the goals we set. Kelly Clarkson says it best, “What doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger.” I challenge you to try something new this week. Something that gets you out of your comfort zone. For example, trying a new hobby. Perhaps playing a sport, painting, cooking/baking, hiking on a trail, or even starting your own business.

Going after what you want requires some hard work and dedication. Set a goal, plan out how you’re going to be successful in achieving it, & go out and accomplish the dang thing! If someone has something negative to say, don’t mind them. Find people who are going to help you & stick up for you when you’re not there. There’s nothing better than finding a friend who wants to help you & see you become successful.

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.”

-Fred Devito

I remember in June 2016, a couple of months ago I only had about 62 subscribers. Never would I have imagined that list to grow up to 325 Followers. My initial goal was to get 100 subscribers before 2016.

If you surpass your original goal, add-on to it and make a new goal for yourself. Never stop creating goals for yourself. My new goal is to grow my list to 500 followers by the end of 2016. Don’t be upset if you don’t reach a goal you were hoping for, just make a new due date for it. Some things aren’t meant to be completed in a certain amount of time. Some goals take longer than others. But if you stay focused and not let anything get in the way, you will eventually get there.

If you’re ever having doubts about something, remember why you began. How bad do you want it? Are you willing to fight for it?

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.”

-Nora Roberts

Love both of these quotes, both are super inspiring on living boldly. Sometimes we just have to do things out of our comfort zone to face our fears.

“You gain strength, courage, & confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face you are able to say to yourself: I have lived through this horror, I can take the next thing that comes along. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

-Eleanor Roosevelt

Something I love to do is to try new foods. I love to be bold when it comes to food. Life is too short not to try something exciting and delicious once in a while! And hey, you may be surprised as to what new foods may appetite your cravings.

I like to change-up my style once in a while. Whether it’s trying a new nail design, or putting on a new lip stick color. Take some risks, try something you’ve never done. Try a new hairstyle, or a new fashion trend. Better yet, start your own fashion trend.

“You will never be stylish if you don’t take risks.”

” People will stare. Make it worth their while.”

-Harry Winston

I created this goal tracker template where you can write all of your goals on the left side of the sheet & add your notes, the steps, & the reward for completing all of your goals. Print this out, place this into your planner or on the fridge, complete each goal & reward yourself.

Beauties On Fire

15 Books On My Reading List

Welcome to the fourth week of the Beauties on Fire collaboration. This weeks theme is “Movie/Book Theme.”

It has been a very long time since I have opened up a book & started reading it. I can never find a book that I’m interested in. I usually just read a page of a book and then stop after that. For some reason, I just get uninterested in books and get easily side tracked too. However, I did a little research on some good books to read and found 15 different ones that seemed interesting to me.

1.) Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children

I have heard so many things about this book. It’s a fantasy/mystery book about a boy named Jacob who travels to an island after his grandfather passes away. The island is where his grandfather spent his time as a child. He later discovers, that the children who lived there may have been abnormal and strange.

2.) Harry Potter

I am just going to come out & admit it. I have never read a Harry Potter book. But it is definitely on my list!! I have a lot of catching up to do.

This book tells the story of a women named Sophia Amoruso. She never gave up, always did her best, stayed positive, and was very dedicated to getting what she wanted. Success is hard work that takes time.

4.) The Girl On The Train

Many people have recommended this book to me, which is why I am super excited to read this book! I love a book with a good twist.

5.) Me Before You

I have all of my tissues ready!

6.) Red Queen

Excited to read this book! It is a fantasy, sci fi, & romantic book.

7.) Looking For Alaska

A book by John Green containing themes such as friendship and forgiveness.

8.) Cinder

This is a fantasy story based on “Cinderella.” Cinder is a cyborg who faces being treated unfairly. She is seen as an outcast to the world. A big theme in this book is love and sacrifice.

9.) The Divergent Series

Five factions, which one will you choose? Amity (Peaceful), Abnegation (Selfless), Erudite (Intelligent), Candor (Honest), or Dauntless (Brave).

10.) Pride and Prejudice

Love, wealth, & prejudgement are some of the many themes in this book.

11.) The Maze Runner

Imagine if you lived in a place where you were trapped with a bunch of others the same age as you, and the only way to escape is to go through a maze. The maze hasn’t been solved yet & is full of vicious creatures. What would you do?

12.) Eleanor & Park

2 kids, both 16 years old, meet on a bus on the way to school. They both start to connect with each others music and books and eventually they start to fall in love. It’s a story about first love.

13.) The Selection

35 women are chosen to be in “The Selection,” a rivalry to compete for a Prince and have a life full of glam and jewels. But with competition comes conflict.

14.) I Am Number Four

9 children have escaped from where they used to live (a planet called Lorien) because it was taken down by the enemies. These children have escaped to earth and are trying to fit in with the crowd. However, the aliens have already killed Number one, two, and three. Now they are coming for number four.

15.) The Perks of Being a Wallflower

The story is about growing up, friendship, and trying new things. I have been wanting to read this book for a long time!

Do you have any book recommendations? Let me know in the comments below! Would love to add to my list.
