Goood Evening loves! It has been such a long time since I have sat down and written things down for my blog posts! It feels good to finally be back with a new blog post and getting “back to business!” Work & school have been kickin my butt!! I’ve been baking cakes, learning a new language, and learning how to make 2 new Starbucks Frappuccinos for work. Such a busy couple of weeks!! I thought I would focus this post on spring and the things that I love! I swear, everything looks so much better in the springtime. Right!!

My Crazy, Favorite Starbucks Drinks
I have made some of the most crazy, but delicious drinks at Starbucks and I’m going to share with you one of my favorite drinks to make. The first one is a strawberry acai refresher with no water, with lemonade instead. Oh myyyy! A Strawberry Lemonade Refresher. If you prefer a drink with coffee, try an iced vanilla latte with half n half. It’s amazing 🙂

E.L.F. Eyelash Curler
I paid $2 for the ELF Eyelash Curler. It was my first time trying an eyelash curler and I was not disappointed whats so ever! It took me a couple hours to actually figure out what I was doing but when I finally did I definitely noticed a difference. My eyelashes looked a lot fuller and longerTry one! What is your favorite brand?

Great Lash Maybelline Mascara
My eyelashes looked a lot longer. It definitely added length and made them more noticeable. What is your favorite brand?

Bold Lipstick
I love brightly colored lipsticks! Reds, purples, oranges, & even blues. Sooooo pretty much every color. I love things that pop out!  BareMinerals & Mac have some really fun colors.  What are your favorite brands and colors?

Nature Walks

QOTD: What do you LOVE about Spring? *Don’t say allergies 😉

For Those Bad Hair Days: Remedies For Crazy, Frizzy Hair!!

Ewwwww! I absolutely hate the feeling of dry, frizzy, and nasty hair and it always seems to happen on the worst fricken days possible! You ever have that moment when you have to grab two things from the store so you throw on some random shirt you had from ten years ago and the first pair of sweatpants you find from the floor. You look completely horrendous, you hair is a absolute disaster but you know you’re only going to be in the store for two minutes so you don’t care too much. When you do go into the store, you see your entire groups of friends. You try to avoid them by quickly grabbing the stuff you need and get out of there before anyone sees what you look like. What if there was a way to avoid a bad hair day? I’m gonna share some remedies/treatments I use to get rid of frizzy, & dry hair. Have you ever had a bad hair day?

Having a bad hair day can really lower your confidence level and can change your mood for the rest of the day.

Using Natural Remedies & Products

I like to add these products after I wash my hair with shampoo & conditioner.

Olive Oil: Some people warm up the olive oil before using it and apply it to their hair for about 30 minutes and then wash it out with shampoo. What I like to do is leave the olive oil in my hair. Whenever I wash my hair, I apply a good amount of olive oil throughout the roots, scalp, & hair. Not only is olive oil a good moisturizer but it also makes the hair more stronger, and healthier looking.

Apple Cider Vinegar: When using Apple Cider Vinegar, I always dilute it down with water before using it just so it’s not so strong. Add some

Honey: Warm up honey in the microwave for 10-20 seconds with a little bit of olive oil and apply it onto your hair for 30 minutes. Make sure you wash it out  super well with your shampoo & conditioner! You don’t want your hair to be sticky!

Coconut Oil Duh! I use coconut oil for everything-skin, hair, nails, etc..

Cocoa Butter:  Adds moisture & gives your hair a nice shine! Not to mention it smells super yummy!

What are some of your natural remedies for bad hair days? Do you have a hair mask you like to use?

Hair Tips!

  • Getting a hair trim once a month
  • Try A Dry Shampoo
  • Use A Wide Tooth Comb
  • Do A Hair Mask At Least Once A Week
  • Spray A Toothbrush With Hairspray & Tame The Fly-Aways
  • Apply Aloe Vera To Your Hair
  • Try Not To Wash Your Hair Everyday

Because treatments can get a little time consuming, I highly suggest doing a face mask while waiting & maybe even having a warm bath. Don’t forget to set a timer on how long you need for your hair mask/treatment. _dsc1038

Try this Hair Mask!!

  • Aloe Vera (6tbs)
  • Coconut Oil  (3tbs)

Mix these ingredients together and leave on your hair for about 20 minutes. Wash off with warm water. This helps with dry & damaged hair.

Just Dealing With It

Another option is to just deal with bad hair days. Every one goes through them-you’re not the only one. You can always wear a cute hat if you need too.

Lady Bug Look

What’s so unique about lady bugs? I mean..other than they’re insects.. I could probably find a billion ways of why ladybugs are so special and unique. One of them is that they have such a beautiful & distinct color of red with little black dots. Here’s a little fast fact that I just learned today, whenever you see a ladybug AKA ladybird, don’t hurt it, because didn’t you know…they bring luck. The darker the color of the ladybug, the more luck you will get! Today I wanted to switch things up from some of my regular posts..maybe try something a little different! I was invited to a costume party and needed something easy to dress up as. Why not make a ladybug costume! The awesome thing is that this look is super cheap and pretty easy to create.

To start off this costume I quickly grabbed a black shirt, some tights, and boots. See, nothing too fancy!

I took out some red lip liner, and outlined the edges of my lips & filled it in…I find this the easiest way to put on a lip color. I used the Matte Velvet Lip Pencil by NARS. I love this product because it lasts so long! Usually when I wear matte anything…it feels so dry & my lips always look cracked. But I have to say, this one actually felt very light & moisturizing.

It took me a couple of trips to find this lady bug headband and the choker but when I found it on sale I knew I had to buy it. They both came in a package for $4.

Whoah! We’re not done yet. We can’t forget about the most important thing! You can’t be a ladybug without the wings. These wings were about $10 and were worth every single penny.

And there you have it! Now off to the party! See you later!

Have you seen those nail pens you use to create designs on your nail polish? I recently bought the black pen from Sally Hanson and created some black dots on my nail polish to get more into character.

Thanks for reading today’s post! Stay tuned for next weeks post! It’s gonna be a good one!

Wake Up With Beautiful Curls! NO HEAT/TOOLS NEEDED!!

Welcome to the third week of the Beauties On Fire Collaboration. This weeks theme is “Disney Princesses.”

Wouldn’t it be great to not have to worry about having tangled & knotty hair when you wake up? When ever I wake up, my hair always looks like something made a nest in it. It takes hours to wash and comb completely through. I would love to be one of those Disney Princesses where they don’t have to worry about those things. They just wake up with the most gorgeous hair and makeup. It’s so unfair! But what if I told you, I could solve one of those problems. Just a few simple steps & you can wake up and not have to worry about your hair being tangled or messy.

Firstly, this step is completely optional. I washed my hair with some shampoo & conditioner. If you’re looking for a good shampoo and conditioner, I definitely recommend trying these from, John Frieda Frizz Ease. I absolutely love them! It makes my hair feel super healthy & soft.

I combed my hair, making sure all the knots were out. While my hair was damp, I separated my hair into even sections and started braiding each one.

I then took all of the braids & tied them up with a hair tie into a bun. This is so all the braids stay together, while I’m sleeping.

In the morning, I took out the bun and then the braids. And that’s all! Pretty simple, right??! It only took 3 steps to achieve this look! Now you can wake up without having to worry about having a bad hair day. I hope you enjoyed this hair tutorial, thank you so much for reading. One step closer to being a Disney Princess!

FUN & EASY Watermelon Nails

Today marks the second week of the Beauties On Fire Collaboration. This weeks theme is “Summer Style.” If you’re looking for something new & cool to try this summer, you’ve come to the right place! All you need is a few, simple things and you’re all set to create this cool watermelon nail design. Let us begin!

What You Need:
-White Nail Polish
-Red Nail Polish
-Green Nail Polish
-Black Nail Polish

Start by painting your nails white. I added 2 coats to make sure my nails were completely covered with white polish. I let this dry for at least 10-20 minutes before adding different colors to my nails.

Take some red nail polish and paint the bottom of your nail on an angle (diagonal). After that, take some green polish and paint the top of your nail on an angle. Make sure you see the white polish in the middle of the red & green polish. This will give the appearance of “watermelon slices.”

Make sure your nails are completely dry before moving on to the next step. Take some black polish and carefully add dots to the red part of your nail. If you need to, you can use a dotting tool to help create the dots.

I dipped a cotton ball into some nail polish remover and cleaned the edges of my nails so that everything was cleaned up.

“Your nails are like jewels-don’t use them like tools.” -Essie

And that is all. Pretty simple right! You have the perfect watermelon slice nails for summer. I hope you enjoy!! Stay tuned for next weeks 3rd Beauties On Fire Theme “Disney Princesses.” Thank you for reading!!
