What’s the secret of Las Vegas? From the casinos to the bright lights, there’s more to Vegas than you know. There are countless fun activities to engage in while you’re in Las Vegas. Recently, I got the chance to travel to Las Vegas with my family. Packing up all the suitcases the night before, we took off early, grabbing our tea and coffee in the morning the next day.

I would say it took about 4 and a half hours to drive to Vegas. I wouldn’t know for sure because I was packed in the back seat with the suitcases trying to catch up on sleep.

You know that feeling when you’ve driven on the road all day and you honestly can not wait to just…relax? But then you realize you have to unpack the car of loads and loads of suitcases.

Getting to the MGM Hotel was a nightmare, lines were completely packed. At this time, I was feeling so dizzy, I mean I thought I was seriously going to pass out in the middle of the lobby and someone would have to drive me to the hospital. But once we got settled into our room, I was starting to feel a little bit better. Destined to find some burgers for dinner, we went to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, ordering the Grilled Prime Burger. I don’t know about you but I love a good juicy burger, and let me tell you, it tasted like heaven on a plate. I mean, from the onion marmalade to the french fries displayed. The flavor was divine.

The next morning, we got up nice & early to head down to the front entry of the MGM Grand. The first thing we saw was a huge statue of a golden lion. When we looked to our left, we saw hotel New York, New York. It was a sight to behold.

The next morning I was feeling refreshed. I made sure I was up at 8 o’clock sharp to avoid crowds on our way to the pool. It was 100°F outside, my face was full of sweat after 10 minutes, but it was nice to just get out of the hotel room and relax.

That night, we went to a One-Republic Concert. It was amazing and I had so much fun.

I love the taste of a good cinnamon roll in the morning. Homies Cinnamon Roll Cafe is simply the best.

Looking for a quick snack to eat before we walk to the Las Vegas Strip, we instantly saw Tap Sports Bar and thought to give it a try. After looking at the menu for several minutes I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sliders with the Celery Slaw on the side. I also tried their Buffalo Style Wings with a side of fries.

The Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas was beautiful. Next time I would like to try the restaurant inside the Eiffel Tower.

To our surprise, we found the sprinkles cupcake ATM machine. I had to get the Red Velvet Cupcake. It was so cute, we just pressed the cupcake we wanted, paid, and the cupcake door opened. They were so yummy!

On the last night of our vacation, we headed down to Shake Shack. After seeing tremendous reviews on yelp, I had to try it for myself. Ordering the Single ShackBurger with cheese sauce to go.

As we walked to the Bellagio Resort on our last day in Vegas, we decided to come back at night to see the water fountains. The view is magnificent at night, the water fountain show happens every 15 minutes.

Las Vegas is definetly a one of a kind experience I will not forget. This trip was so much fun.

What’s one place you would love to travel to?

  1. I’ve been to Vegas once and loved it. I was there for too short of a time though… It was for a conference and was in the same place nearly all day. The nightlife was a little too much for me! Eek!

  2. I know that Vegas is famous for it’s casinos…but I really want to go for the food (and cupcake ATMs) after reading this post. I feel like Pavlov’s dogs over here, just drooling away.
